The ICF has announced a new youth development initiative bringing Chovken training programs to schools in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Iran, and Georgia. The program aims to introduce the sport to over 2,000 young riders aged 12-18 over the next three years. "Preserving this ancient tradition means ensuring a new generation of players understands and appreciates both the athletic and cultural aspects of Chovken," explained program director Aysel Mammadova. Each participating country will host a youth tournament in summer 2025.
