In the sun-drenched arena of the Silesia Polo Club in Poland from June 5 to 7, a truly thrilling equestrian battleun folded, where-amid the thunder of hooves and the enthusiastic applause of spectators-six national teams (Azerbaijan, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Great Britain, and Turkey) staged a genuine festival of skill and team spirit: in the opening match on June 5, Hungary fought valiantly but ultimately fell to the hosts (2 - 3); then Malta, inspired by the energetic support of its fans, overcame Great Britain (4 - 2); and the Azerbaijani team showcased remarkable cohesion, leaving Turkey no chance (3 - 0); on June 6, Great Britain squeezed out a narrow victory over Turkey (1 - 0), Malta surprised again by avenging their loss to Poland (4 - 2), and Azerbaijan once more dazzled everyone with a commanding win over Hungary (4 - 0); the climax of the third day arrived with the semifinals, where Poland routed Great Britain (4 - 0) and Hungary decimated Turkey (5 - 2), but on June 7-to the roaring ovation of packed stands-the Azerbaijani squad, led by their captain, delivered a spectacular performance, defeating Malta 6 - 2 in the golden final and carrying home the well-deserved European Championship trophy.
