CREATING AN INTERNATIONAL STRUCTURE FOR CHOVKEN

The International Chovken Federation was established in Baku, Azerbaijan, following the founding General Assembly where representatives from 19 countries across multiple continents gathered to create a unified international framework for the governance, development, and promotion of Chovken.

During the Assembly, the Federation’s statutes, governance structure, and official rules of the sport were reviewed and formally adopted. This process laid the foundation for an international system aimed at coordinating competitions, supporting national federations, and establishing professional standards for the sport worldwide.

At the conclusion of the Assembly, Bahruz Nabiyev was elected President of the International Chovken Federation, and Maciej Michal Olbrych of Poland was elected Secretary General. The Federation continues to expand its activities through international championships, development programs for athletes and officials, and cooperation with national federations and sporting institutions.

Through international collaboration and structured governance, the Federation works to strengthen the global presence of Chovken while preserving the historical and cultural heritage of one of the world’s oldest equestrian team sports.
