Chovken around the world: countries and competitions

Modern Chovken now connects national teams and organizations across Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and the Middle East. This overview uses published ICF competition records to show where the sport has been played internationally without treating event participation as proof of a permanent national federation.

A global sport built through verified events

International growth is best documented through official competition records, member information and published results. Country names on this page identify teams that appear in those records. They do not automatically prove the current legal status, membership category or activity level of a national governing body.

For organizational information, readers should consult the ICF member-organizations page. For sporting performance, the scoreboards and individual championship reports remain the primary records.

Europe

The European Chovken Championship 2025 in Poland brought together Azerbaijan, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Great Britain and Türkiye. Azerbaijan won the title, Malta finished second and Poland placed third.

European participation has also appeared in world competition records, including teams from Poland and Türkiye. Future country profiles should only be created when there is enough verified information about a national organization, team history, contacts and results to make each page genuinely useful.

Asia and the wider region

The Asian Chovken Championship 2025 included Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Kyrgyzstan and Hong Kong. Uzbekistan won the championship, Pakistan took silver and Kazakhstan took bronze.

Published ICF records also document teams from Kuwait at world level. Search phrases such as Chovken Kazakhstan, Chovken Uzbekistan, Chovken Pakistan, Chovken UAE and Chovken Kyrgyzstan are therefore grouped on this verified regional overview rather than split into thin country pages.

Africa

The African Chovken Championship 2025 was held in Abuja, Nigeria, with Nigeria, Niger, Ghana and Egypt. Nigeria finished first, Niger second, Ghana third and Egypt fourth.

Nigeria and Niger later appeared in the 2026 World Championship field in Baku. These results provide a factual basis for coverage of Chovken in Africa while avoiding unsupported claims about countries that have not appeared in published ICF records.

South America

The South American Chovken Championship 2025 featured Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Colombia. Uruguay won the competition, Chile finished second and Argentina placed third.

Chile and Uruguay advanced to the 2026 World Championship, where Chile reached the final and Uruguay won bronze. These event records support one regional landing page with links to detailed reports and scoreboards.

World Championship participation

The second World Chovken Championship was held in Baku from 7 to 13 June 2026. Ten national teams from five continents competed: Azerbaijan, Chile, Uruguay, Niger, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Poland, Türkiye, Nigeria and Kuwait.

Azerbaijan won the final against Chile, while Uruguay defeated Niger in the bronze-medal match. The official tournament report and scoreboards provide the current verified record; this overview should be updated when new championships or official membership information are published.

How new country pages should be approved

A dedicated country page should have more than a country name and a few keywords. It should include a verified organization, official contact or source, documented competitions, results, development activity and original images or statements where available.

Until those quality gates are met, one regional overview is more accurate and more useful than a collection of near-duplicate pages. It also prevents search cannibalization and makes future expansion easier to manage.
